Kokan Kinara
Where the Sea Meets the Soul
Kokani Village

Our Story

How It All Began

Kokan Kinara started as a simple dream by the Sawant family — a local Konkani family who wanted to share the untouched beauty and authentic cuisine of their homeland with travelers. For generations, this stretch of the Konkan coast has been our home, our playground, and our livelihood.

What began with just two spare rooms and Savitri's home-cooked fish curries has blossomed into Kokan Kinara. But despite our growth, our ethos remains unchanged: local, authentic, and sustainable. We believe in slow living, where the rhythm of your day is dictated by the tides, not the clock.

When you stay with us, you aren't just a guest in a hotel; you are a guest in our home. You'll eat what we eat, walk the beaches we grew up on, and experience the profound warmth that coastal Maharashtra is known for.
